Dear future My Beary 1^st Steps Families, 
 

My name is Roseann Kleinschmidt. I work as preschool teacher for Howard County Public Schools and have a Masters in Early Childhood Education. I am also the proud parent of a 17 month old little girl. My daughter has attended My Beary 1^st Steps since she was 5months old. It is both as a professional and parent that I recommend Haydee and My Beary 1^st Steps. 
 

Haydee has created a warm environment in which children are able to learn and play at their individual level. Even though my daughter is the youngest cub, Haydee has encouraged her to participate in all activities at her own level. She teaches the cubs by giving them real life experiences such as growing a garden, washing baby dolls, and raising butterflies. Although Haydee spends time throughout the day teaching the cubs new things, she also realizes kids need time to play and be silly. She has many toys for the kids to play with and a large play space outside. Often times the cubs dance around the room wearing costumes. Not to mention crazy Fridays filled with all kinds of crazy fun like moon bounces, ice cream or tea parties.
 

As a parent, Haydee knows how important it is for parents to be informed about their child’s day. She up dates parents through facebook and e-mails. Haydee is always willing to share anecdotes about your child’s day. She celebrates your child’s successes and helps them over come life’s hurdles. Haydee has been so patient as my daughter goes through teething. She helped her transition from baby food to solid food. Haydee and her husband make healthy meals for the cubs everyday. It has been so nice to not have to pack my daughter lunch everyday and still be assured she is learning health eating habits. 
 

My family loves My Beary 1^st Steps daycare. We know that our daughter is loved and safe throughout her day. We are very grateful that our daughter is able to attend an exceptional daycare. We highly recommend Haydee and My Beary 1^st Steps to you and your family.

I love My Beary 1^st Steps Daycare and I am overly satisfied with the level of care and love that is given to each child. The environment that has been cultivated there is not one of a daycare facility, but one of a family, where each member is fully embraced and cared for unequivocally.

One of the main things that drew me to choose this daycare is the level of activities provided as well as the quality of meals provided. The children get to learn different skills and qualities at a young age, when their curiosity is high, and their brains are growing and developing at an unbelievable rate. Exposure to these different activities is something that will benefit them now and through out the rest of their life. I would never want my child sitting in front of a TV screen all day, as it is unhealthy physically and mentally. Similarly, the quality of food given is awesome. They aren’t eating chicken nuggets everyday but are served mostly home cooked meals with a variety of fruits and vegetables present. And they are taught to always eat their vegetables first, a skill that my daughter has brought home with her. Its rewarding to not have to compete with the daycare about what’s healthy and what’s not. They have done their research, and are constantly making improvements that will benefit the children and satisfy the parents. And it’s not just work all day. The children have ample time to play and develop social skills. Its definitely more like a pre-school than a daycare to me, and I couldn’t be happier with the level of service and love that I have been provided to my daughter. The reality that this season won’t last forever saddens me, but I know that when my daughter’s time to leave has come, that this experience here will continue to influence her and I am glad that I made the decision to bring her to My Beary 1^st Steps in the first place.

To whom it may concern:

My 21-month-old son has been attending My Beary First Steps daycare for about six months and we are extremely pleased with the care that Haydee and her helpers provide.

We came from a situation where we had an in-home nanny for a year so my husband and I were very anxious about putting our son in daycare. We visited many different centers in the area and found problems with all of them. We knew the moment that we walked in to My Beary First Steps that it was the place for our son. It is the perfect balance of the structure and learning environment that you would expect from a pricey daycare center combined with the warmth and nurturing environment of a small home daycare. We do not live close to the daycare and the drive is not convenient for us but it is well worth it because of how happy we are with the care they give our son. His language and cognitive skills have grown tremendously since he began attending My Beary First Steps.

Haydee takes exceptional care of my son and he absolutely adores her. I know that when I drop him off every morning, he is going to have fun, learn, eat healthy food, and feel loved. She goes beyond traditional childcare and constantly comes up with innovative and exciting ways to educate and inspire her cubs.

We couldn’t be happier with our choice to send our son to My Beary First Steps and we really look forward to more fun and learning in the years to come!
